Underclassmen Class Pictures
Underclassmen Picture Make Up Day is Thursday, October 30th: Picture retakes will be in the auditorium on October 30th. Students may only retake pictures if: (1) They were dissatisfied with their original portrait package. The old picture package must be brought in on make-up day and turned in to the photographer. This must be returned in order to receive a new picture package. To schedule a time to retake a picture, please see Ms. Centini in room E134 before the end of the school day on October 29th; (2) Any student who was absent from picture day will automatically be scheduled and given a pass on October 30th by their first period teacher; (3) Any new enrollment or transfer student will be automatically scheduled and given a pass on October 30th by their first period teacher.


Hylton nominates two outstanding educators for Teacher of the Year awards!
Congratulations, Mr. Jason Fox and Mr. Tommy Tutwiler, for being nominated for the Agnes Meyer Outstanding Teacher of the Year Award and the Dale City Teacher of the Year Award! If you would like to write a letter of support for one or both of these teachers, please email Mrs. Meg Holt at holtmh@pwcs.edu. We would love to hear from former students, current students, parents, colleagues and members of the community. For a list of criteria for both awards and for pictures, please click here. All letters of support are due by October 31st.
Dress Code Reminders for Friday, October 31st
Attention Students: Please remember that the dress code will be enforced during the school day on Friday, October 31st and at all school activities that evening. Masks will be prohibited. 
Senior Quotes
Attention Seniors: If you would like to submit a senior quote for the Yearbook, click here.  Quotes can be submitted between October 15th and November 15th.  Only one submission per student, and all submissions are subject to Administrative approval. 
Office 365 / Microsoft Office for Students
In addition to C.D. Hylton Google Apps accounts, PWCS is providing students with Microsoft Office 365 accounts. With this account comes licenses for the student to install MS Office 2013 software on up to 5 devices of his/her choice. This video will walk students through the process of signing in for the first time and downloading the software.  Students must sign in to their accounts for the first time from a school computer.  Mrs. Treichler & the Tech Team will be providing login assistance on Oct. 28th - Nov. 7th before/after school in E165B & during lunches in the Library.
Google Apps for Education FAQs
C.D. Hylton faculty and students are encouraged to use Google Apps for Education as their cloud-based computing solution. Click here for more information regarding this service, including security of student data and how accounts are monitored.
High School Program Information Nights
Mark your calendars!  On Thursday, November 13th and Tuesday, January 13th, Hylton High School is hosting it's information night(s) for all students, parents and guardians interested in the different high school programs we will offer in 2015-16. These include the Center for International Studies and Languages, the TV Production program and the Auto Tech program. The event will begin at 7 p.m. Specific locations for the different programs will be listed as you enter the building. The county-wide on-line application process will be explained at both events.
Save the Date: Getting Ready for College Presentation
Hylton's Counseling Department will be having a "Getting Ready of College" presentation for all parents of current 11th graders on Thursday, November 13 at 7:00 p.m., in Hylton's Auditorium. We will have Ms. Felice Rollins, founder of College Momentum, as our guest presenter. Topics will include: the college planning process and standardized testing.

We have launched a Fundraising page! This page is dedicated to promoting team, club and organization fundraisers here at Hylton. Click here to be re-directed to the Fundraising page to review current fundraisers and submit a request to add an approved fundraiser.  This page is also available from the left navigation panel under "For Students & Parents." 
Applications for Hylton's Specialty Programs
Are you interested in applying for one of Hylton High School's specialty programs: The Center for International Studies and Languages (CISL); TV Production; or Automotive Technology? If so, click here to access the online program application. *You may encounter a security warning prior to accessing the application. The website is safe; please push through the security warning. The deadline for Hylton's specialty program applications is February 1, 2015. If your base school is Hylton High School, and you are interested in one of these speciality programs, you will also need to complete the online application. Students currently enrolled in one of Hylton's speciality programs do not need to reapply for the 2015-16 school year.
NHS Tutoring
Attention Students: NHS Tutoring will be held from 2:15 - 3:15 PM in the library. If you need help with Math or Science, come on Mondays/Thursdays. If you need help with English or Social Studies, come on Tuesdays. Click here for a flyer to print.
